Breast Cancer Awareness Satsuma Keepsake Candle
Each Signature Spa Sweet Satsuma Soy Aromatherapy Candle is hand poured in Vermont. The glass vessel creates a wonderful keepsake for future use once the candle is thoroughly enjoyed. The double-wicked, silver pink candle is created for a clean burn. Each wick is all cotton and unbleached. The citrus fragrance of Carved Solutions' Satsuma found its inspiration from the seedless mandarin. The Japanese history of this fruit is identified by its refreshing and healing properties.
Starting on October 1, 2011 Carved Solutions began their annual, month long "Race for the Cure".
During the month of October, to build breast cancer awareness, Carved Solutions will donate 50% of all gross sales from all Carved Solutions' Signature Spa, Satsuma, Believe Ribbon related products directly to Susan G. Komen for the Cure'. An announcement sharing results will be presented on November 1, 2011.
"We are thrilled that our Signature Spa, Vermont made soaps and candles have the opportunity to make a difference," stated Dawn Lancaster, Co-Owner and Vice President of Carved Solutions a Vermont family-owned and operated personalization company.
Dawn's mother, Shirley A. Faverty, is a two-time breast cancer survivor and this year celebrates 15 years breast cancer free. Every October, Carved Solutions aims to raise understanding, involvement, and research.
Carved Solutions chose Susan G. Komen for the Cure as the charity to receive the benefit from the annual October fundraising efforts through the sales from the Signature Spa Satsuma Collection in early 2011 when the Satsuma Collection was launched.
Dawn always believed from the moment of her mother's diagnosis that she would be cured. "We must find an end to breast cancer. When I looked at the future, I realized that my mom was our 1 in 8. In simple math, myself and my two sisters make three. My mother-in-law and three sister-in-laws bring the total to seven; hence my mom was our 1 in 8. That puts my daughter, Sarah (11 years old) and her cousin, Megan (9 years old) at the beginning of the next generation's 1 in 8. Now more than ever the race is on to protect and save!"
Susan G. Komen for the Cure has invested more than $1.9 billion since inception in 1982 and as the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists. They are working together to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all, and energize science to find the cure.
The Signature Spa Trio of Satsuma custom carved ribbon soap bars and the Signature Spa, Satsuma Aromatherapy Soy Candle both retail for $30/each and raise $15/each to be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
